Readers,
I’m out of steam right now, and so hitting pause here for a while. Please see my previous post for good places to point your focus if you’re still searching for some resistance and/or light. I’ll be settling in to my newly shared home with my partner and his kids and our pups, which we’re refreshing and nesting in refuge where we can find it, while I’m also growing my IRL roots here in North Carolina, where I’ve somehow lived for a year already!
The best DEI content, if you need a trusted source in these fraught times, comes from Lily Zheng; they seem primarily to post on LinkedIn but that’s also a great place to hang out if you’re seeking to connect with others in the landscape of professional workplaces anyway.
I also warmly welcome anyone who would like some 1-1 connections around the content of this newsletter (DEI, especially contemporary racism, whiteness, and intersectionality; leaving academia, and contemporary workplaces) to connect with me on LinkedIn or reach out by email at MeghanB at gmail dot com.
Right now I believe this is simply “Bye for now.” I hope to return with more useful content in a few months. Many warm thanks to all who have read and engaged since I launched this newsletter last June. Be good to yourselves and one another, and thank you for any/everything you are likely doing to fight fascism in the meantime.
Fondly,
Meghan
